"First Do No Harm.”—Hippocrates
AHIMSA: It starts with YOU.
In our first class of the New Year, we will discuss the first Yama (ethical precept of Yoga) which is Ahimsa. Ahimsa translates from Sanskrit into English as Non-violence. We will look at how to incorporate this idea into
practice on and off the mat. Also, we’ll address your personal role in Ahimsa and how that makes the world better for EVERYONE. Asana practice will incorporate lots of hip openers stretches to help us to recover
from the Holiday vacation. Woo Hoo!
Bring to class: a water bottle and your yoga mat. Yoga mat and towel rentals available for $2.50 each.
Wear lightweight, form-fitting clothes.
