Discussion will center on Food Freedom and how this can manifest in our lives. We will explore the concept behind Whole-person wellness (holistic, integrative health) through a Wellness Circle activity and discuss perceived and actual barriers that we face when it comes to our lifestyle choices and willingness to change harmful behaviors. From opening our minds to the possibilities of self-care, self-respect, compassion, and understanding to incorporating healthy habits that are tethered to our core values as unique bio-individuals, we will discuss the importance of mindfulness and how to focus on what we CAN control... the present moment. Together we will learn how to be present and mindful of the now through engaging our 5 senses, culminating in a mindfulness exercise using essential oils, music, breath, visualization, journal writing, and setting intentions.
Dress comfortably in relaxed clothing that promotes a state of calm comfort. Please bring a simple journal or notepad to journal in during the class.

Kierstin Spjut Laws is a Utah native of 42 years. She is a Mother to 3 beautiful children and has been married for 21 years to her sweetheart who happily runs and operates their businesses daily and supports their family in every way.
She has her Bachelors of Science from the University of Utah in Health Promotion & Education and is a Certified Integrative Health Nutrition Coach from IIN in NYC. She is currently engaged in continuing education in the areas of gut and hormone health to more fully understand, specialize, educate, and coach her clients and others on the critical role of gut and hormone health on our overall well being. She has struggled with a myriad of health issues throughout her life from depression & anxiety to thyroid & hormone dysfunction. Through proper medical channels, comprehensive blood work, self-awareness, lifestyle and behavior modifications, she has been able to heal her body and thrive. Health, wellness lifestyle, and education is her passion and purpose.
