The moon is a powerful source of energy and connection to the universe. In this series, we invite you to explore the magic of the winter moon as each class will focus on the theme of that month's full moon. In addition, attendees will do some light yoga stretching and enjoy a short meditation to experience a release of anything that no longer serves us. Finally, participants will set and write down intentions for the new month. There will be an opportunity for sharing at the end if anyone wishes to.

The full moon in February is called the Snow Moon. Since the heaviest snow usually falls during this month, native tribes of the north and east most often called February’s full moon the Snow Moon. Some tribes also referred to this moon as the Hunger Moon, since harsh weather conditions in their areas made hunting very difficult.
In the Snow Moon celebration, we will explore the concept of intrinsic worth and how to recognize our own divinity and personal worthiness. We will discuss how to accomplish hard things and banish self-doubt.
Guest Holly Semanoff is a breathwork expert and teacher who will lead us through breathwork exercises to help us connect with our higher selves.

Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing.

Bring a yoga mat and optional blanket and/or pillow.
Dress comfortably (attire appropriate for some light yoga stretching).
Bring a journal and pen.

Amy is a lover of people, connection and living. She is a mother of nine kids, ages 9-27, and already has three grandchildren. Amy is a 500-hour RYT (registered yoga teacher), a Reiki and energy practitioner, a fascia therapist and has studied CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). She loves the moon, sun, hiking, cooking, learning and teaching. She currently teaches several fitness classes at Brick Canvas including Bikram Yoga and Fascia Rolling. She also teaches Drama at her local elementary school.
Amy recognizes the importance of understanding and healing all of the “bodies” that make up who we are; including physical, energetic, spiritual and mental. Amy has a passion for helping people connect, balance their energies and learn to love themselves. In the full moon celebration, participants will find just that. Each night will be made up of connection, learning, simple practices for well being of ALL of your bodies, and FUN!
