Master Lash Artist Q&A

Updated: Jul 15, 2020

Lash extensions are enhancements that are attached to your natural lash with a quick drying adhesive for full, long, natural looking lashes. At Brick Canvas, we use the highest quality, synthetic eyelash extensions to lengthen, volumize and darken your natural lashes. They come in various lengths and curl patterns to customize your results and eliminate the need for mascara!

Why synthetic lashes?

We prefer synthetic lashes over siberian mink because there is less chance of an adverse reaction or allergy. They also stay curled and dark longer than the actual mink lashes. We also pride ourselves in using only ethically sourced and cruelty free products at Brick Canvas.

How do you apply the lash extensions?

Lash extensions are adhered to each individual natural lash, one at a time (classic) and in fans (volume), by licensed and certified Lash Artists. Your artist will be able to evaluate your natural lashes and apply extensions that won’t damage your natural lashes. The length and volume of your natural lash will determine the best length and volume of the extension for you!

Who can/cannot get lash extensions?

People with severe allergies that affect their eyes will want to avoid lash extensions.

Will lash extensions ruin my natural lashes?

When applied and maintained correctly, lash extensions will not damage your natural eyelashes.

How do I take care of my lash extensions?

Keep them clean! Don’t pick or pull! Brush them daily!

What is the maintenance?

Lashes grow and shed in a cycle, just like the rest of the hair on your body. On average, you lose 3 lashes per day on each eye. That is 21 in a week, 42 in two weeks and 63 in three weeks PER EYE! We recommend getting fills every 2-3 weeks to keep your lashes looking full and beautiful.
