Amber B. Pearce is an associate mental health counselor and the creator of InnerWorks Healing Therapy, a skills-based approach grounded in evidence-based modalities. She is a co-creator and facilitator of the Optimal Wellness Workshops at Brick Canvas and sees individual clients at Wellspace Utah in Draper, where she has led DBT skills groups for over five years.

Treating Anxiety

Have you ever experienced a time when it feels like your brain will not turn off? Have you ever had an experience and then worried about every detail afterwards? Have you ever felt like your heart was racing, you were sick to your stomach, and maybe your racing mind has even kept you from sleeping? If so, you have experienced anxiety! One of the most common mental health concerns, anxiety, can start at any age. Even if you haven’t been formally diagnosed with anxiety, it can be very uncomfortable and disruptive in your life. Did you know there are everyday strategies that can help!!

 

Join us for a workshop designed for individuals who have experienced anxiety. We will learn quick skills and strategies to implement in your everyday life that, over time, can make a BIG difference in your mental health. During the workshop, we will provide an overview of how the brain and nervous system work together to create feelings of anxiety in our bodies.

 

Amber will teach some of the most effective therapeutic skills, drawing from popular treatment modalities such as Cognitive/Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Internal Family Systems, and more! Learning coping strategies doesn’t have to be for only those in therapy. At Brick Canvas, where all other aspects of optimal health is prioritized, we want to now offer strength training in coping skills! We will make a heavy topic be interactive, informative, and full of lots of good strategies to take home with you.
